Stew meat is made from cuts of beef with lots of tough connective tissue, namely chuck and/or round. While they are tougher, they turn into melt-in-your-mouth pieces of beef once cooked over a longer period of time. A hearty beef stew is both a tasty and affordable dinner option.
Very tasty--a little tough, but then we should have braised the pieces before adding them to our Slow Cooker, as recommended. we'll remember to do that, before the next "Carribbean Beef Stew!"
